Quite exactly one year after "Kira" [T-FREE056],
Air J returns to T-FREE with a remix of Larrge's
debut tune "Black Hole" [T-FREE074]. This remix
keeps the essence of the original's qualities
("100% technoid, free of melody but not "hard"),
keeping a complete focus on rythm and percussion.
It increases the intensity with a 4/4 bassdrum
and gets quite schranzy, but it keeps rolling
and does not turn to the Gabba side of the force.
So, Air J does honour to the tune and to himself.
Those who like the original should love the remix!

SST of The Chosen truly begins his solo career with the impressive full length album Stepping Thru Shadows.
As a member of The Chosen, he rose to prominence with several 12" releases on labels like Cymbalism, Habit and Ohm Resistance.
A full time audio editor and former Full Sail teacher, SST's engineering abilities are off the charts -
clean, smooth production backed up with total groove workouts. A broad adaptation of neurofunk with Detroit synth sensibilities,
and thickly sculpted drums provide the elements for this mixed genre debut.

Album Stepping Thru Shadows is a unique producer perspective with combining both dubstep and drum n bass and highlighting
the genuine similarities in their construction and form. The album features several vocal tracks
featuring Messinian (Planet of the Drums/Dieselboy vocalist), Collaborator and also
NYC shoegaze rockers The Project_Pale. Dubstep tracks flow with melodic beauty and bass heavy consistency
"Mind of God" is the showcase piece, with a rapid fire flow and massive hook. On the drum n bass side of the album, pure dancefloor
rollers such as Humanity Lost meet creatively spaced out pieces, with the title track Stepping Thru Shadows
illustrating the connection between dnb structure and dubstep break patterns. Articulate and dance oriented, SST's debut album

I've never expected to earn money thru my music! I'd rather say I don't want to depend on income from my music, no matter how big it would be. Because my motivation would've changed then! But the idea of putting albums on itunes and so on seems to be very nice - it's opportunity for everyone involved to support community by dividing up costs of running the site)
CD's or Vinyls are great because of their quality, MP3 really sucks. I'd love to hear all those DS releases in WAV quality!... never heard of digital releases in wav , though)
