Darkstep Recordings proudly announces the return of the Short Dark Shock series. SDS6 is coming — a raw, rapid-fire compilation of sonic chaos. Each track is a flash in the dark: short, sharp, and heavy. Time to go big short!

What We’re Looking For

  • Track Length: 30 seconds MAX. Shorter is fine. No exceptions.
  • Genre: Darkstep, breakcore, industrial, glitch, noise, experimental – anything intense and abrasive.
  • Mood: Aggressive, eerie, weird, extreme – just make it hit.

Submission Guidelines

  • Deadline: May 16, 2025
  • File Format: WAV or AIFF preferred.
  • Bitrate: 16-bit / 44.1 kHz minimum.
  • Label your file: ArtistName_TrackTitle_SDS6.wav
  • Include:
    • Artist name
    • Track title
    • Short bio (1–2 sentences)
    • Links (Bandcamp, socials, etc.)

All entries will be stitched into a continuous, punishing mix – a blackout journey in miniature.

  • All tracks will be screened for quality – raw is good, sloppy isn’t.
  • Submissions must fit the overall tone and aesthetic – chaotic, heavy, experimental, and dark.
