DARKSTEP Records primary purpose is to promote new and undiscovered artists in Darkstep and related genre’s (hardcore, gabber, jungle, breakcore, glitch, dark ambient and the like). All Darkstep Records albums and compilations are released through Bandcamp set to ‘name your price’ to get as much distribution and attention as possible.
All releases should be a minimum of 2 tracks with at least 1 track directly considered Darkstep (the running joke is “It must have 2 step Amen plus reese combo, horror movie samples on top and a scary name. Or you’re banned.”), screened for quality of course.
You are always free to release the album in full or part on your own bandcamp page (or other music streaming service), and DARKSTEP Records makes no claim to the rights of your music beyond releasing it on DARKSTEP with the intention of promoting your music.
