D.T.A, also known as DFECT was a German DJ, Promoter, Producer and Founder of ‘Morbid Entertainment’.

He first got into drum and bass in 1996, listening to as many styles as he could, until he found what he was looking for – dark, hard and fast DnB. In 1998, Dfect got his first set of turntables where he spent most of his time mastering his DJ skills. After 3 years of spinning he decided to take a break from DnB music, but went back into the scene in summer of 2004 after discovering the sound of Breakcore. The same year, Dfect founded ‘Morbid Entertainment’ which made it possible to promote parties and to play at numerous events.

A year later Dfect started to produce his own tunes and created the alter ego ‘D.T.A’.

Dfect passed away in 2019, leaving behind a huge selection of released and un-released tunes. We gathered the most outstanding ones for this compilation and hope that his name will be remembered for a long time!
